Lorain County case flaws tie to light sentences for Ross
The 9th District reduced Ross felony charges in 2012 due to faulty jury verdict forms from the 2009 trial. Judge Pokorny later reimposed a 9 year sentence, but an appeals ruling capped potential total at 6 years. Prosecutor Will says no discretion remains, while Burge’s reduced tampering charges echo similar issues.
