GM pollution control modification set to cut emissions
The GM Fisher Body plant will deploy a slide stream separator to reduce particulate emissions by up to 50 percent from coal fired power plants. GM says the system, featuring up to 80 vertical tubes and vortexing air, is part of a new EPA Innovative Technology Order. Operational at Columbus plant by month end and at Elyria facilities by January 1980.
