500 Mentally Ill Patients Now At TB Hospital
Columbus report states Mount Vernon state hospital now treats 500 mentally ill tuberculosis patients. Gov. Cal vin Baker says transfers from other institutions moved as fast as staff allowed though facilities remain short of adequate capacity. He notes some early success with streptomycin but no definite proof of its healing power.
