Ford to invest 128 million at Ohio Assembly for new line
Ford Motor Co plans a 128 million investment at the Ohio Assembly Plant to add medium duty trucks and motor home chassis, under a proposed contract with the United Auto Workers. The move could bring new production to Avon Lake, Sheffield Lake and Sheffield areas, with the E Series van phased out by 2014. The contract would run through 2015 and needs UAW approval from about 41 000 members.

North Ridgeville investigators probe a possible abduction and sexual assault of a 43 year old Elyria woman after a 911 call. She was found semi conscious near Harbor Drive and Atlantic drives, transported to EMH Medical Center then flown to MetroHealth. No suspects or witnesses identified. The case is with the Detective Bureau for further investigation.
