Milligan loses freedom of Athens in 1979 transfer
Willam S. Milligan, once identified with ten personalities by psychiatrists, is moved from the Athens Mental Health Center to a maximum security facility. The 24 year old, who had been allowed to drive, sell paintings, and leave the facility, is no longer free to roam the community. Protests from local residents followed his freedom at the center. He had previously bought rum for two women patients.
