Gore Orphanage legend misleads visitors to Swift Mansion
Lorain County naturalist Grant Thompson debunks the Gore Orphanage fire myth, clarifying that no children died there and most hauntings point to the Swift Mansion on Gore Orphanage Road. He notes the Swift home, Light and Hope Orphanage, and other ruins, with talks scheduled this month in Vermilion and Amherst.
