Brush fire threatens church area in Lorain

Isaias Rosario 21 says he shot a man who entered his Colorado Avenue apartment at 1:50 a.m. Sunday to protect his girlfriend and two children. Joshua Butler 32 was seriously wounded, hospitalized, and no charges have been filed as police investigate the incident.

Elyria man sentenced to 10 years in prison
Nathaniel Allgood 56 was sentenced by Lorain County Common Pleas Judge Mark Betleski to 10 years after being convicted of attempting to report an incident involving his 2 year old grandson in January. He maintained innocence saying he was in a bathroom before catching a bus when the boy appeared. He will must register as a sex offender and a juror could conclude the incident occurred with his hand on the child.
