Numerous Lorain County couples marked milestone anniversaries at home and church events. William H. and wife Davis observed 40 years at Mark Restaurant Sheffield Lake, while John and Mrs Slosier reached 45 years with a party at their son’s home. Donald and Dessie Bash observed 25 years with a Papal Blessing Mass, and Walter and wife Holmes celebrated 19 years with a community gathering.

Candyce Denton and Robert Jones married September 11 at Lake Shore United Methodist Church Avon Lake in a 7 PM ceremony. The bride trained as an RN at M B Johnson School of Nursing and works at Elyria Memorial Hospital. The groom a Parker Hannifin machine setup operator. They will live in Elyria after a Florida honeymoon. A second couple, Ruth Super and Dean Sadowsky, exchanged vows at St Mary’s Vermilion.
Janet K Behning and Christopher L Atkins married August 9 in a Hulbert Holtow Estates garden ceremony at 2 pm officiated by Rev Thomas Johnson. The couple, of Bay Village and Spencer, reside at 244 E 86th St New York.
