Police raid nets cocaine cash in Lorain house
Tips from neighbors lead Lorain police to search the 1400 block of F Street where about 8 ounces of cocaine and $20 000 in cash were found. Larry Hamilton 51 and Cherise Armstrong 30 were arrested on drug trafficking and possession charges with Armstrong also blamed for drug abuse due to the house under her name. Both held without bond and due in Lorain Municipal Court. A child in the house lived there but was at school during the raid. Armstrong’s mother took custody. A second item reports a Wellington man in his 60s badly hurt after a 15 to 20 foot fall from a ladder at 45430 Peck Wadsworth Road. He is in critical condition at MetroHealth. The homeowner is listed as Frank Hamza. Columbia Gas warns of a rising telephone scam targeting Ohio customers demanding payment for past bills.
