Pleads Guilty to Shooting Charge in August Incident

Arnold Placed On Parole After Larceny Conviction
Roland Arnold, 30, was paroled today after a judge previously sentenced him to a year in the penitentiary for grand larceny. Judge W. B. Thompson set aside the sentence and granted parole with L. H. Assistant Fire Chief Burned Carrying Paraffin Pan
Q. J. Hess assistant chief of the Elyria Fire Department suffered severe burns to his face and arms while carrying a small pan of burning paraffin from H. A. Straw at 405 Oxford Avenue. Firemen said the paraffin on a stove ignited and when Hess attempted to move the pan it flared again. Hess received treatment at Elyria Memorial Hospital and was sent home. No structural damage occurred. Elyria endured a 12 day fireless period following the incident.
