United Nations jet fighters scored a decisive victory destroying or damaging 17 Soviet made planes and shooting down eleven. Sabre jets swept into northwest Korea and blasted a formation of bombers escorted by MiG-15s and prop fighters, claiming six bombers, three prop fighters and one jet destroyed. Ground fighting remained light with several minor engagements on the central and eastern fronts. UN planese returned safely despite the heavy air action.

Santa's Helpers Rally To Complete Yule Decorations
A large group called Santa's Helpers worked through the night to finish Christmas preparations for the 1951 Yule season. Tradesmen, volunteers and park workers helped light the courthouse, paint toy soldiers and finish the Santa Express train at Bendix Westinghouse under artist George Innes. The downtown lights and evergreen displays were nearly ready for tonight's opening, with Santa appearing at seven on the courthouse steps.

Retail Sales Up Over Last Year
Statewide sales tax revenue for the period July 1 to November 1, 1981 totaled 54,433,064 versus 56,307,276 a year earlier. Lorain County reported 71,140 in this period, down from 854,030 previously.
