Decline in Black Rhino Numbers Across Zimbabwe Parks
Observer Leadon reports critically low black rhino populations in Zimbabwe national parks. In Matusadonha and northern reserves only a handful remain, with Chirisa, Chizarira, and Chewore severely depleted. Poaching activity near the Zambezi River coincides with scattered pockets of rhinos, while western parks show slightly higher counts.
