Lorain County Keeps Separate Statistical Area Status

Elyria Lorain officials celebrate a federal revision that preserves Lorain County as its own statistical area. The Lorain Elyria SMSA will remain distinct in one data set while being shown within the Cleveland area in another, ensuring separate local figures for planning and funding while maintaining broader regional context. John Holl, Lorain County planner, calls the outcome a win and stresses continued access to data for smaller areas.
