Plane Crashes Into Parked Truck Near Norwalk
Two Norwalk men Melvin Shipley 28 and Wade Youn 21 were injured with cuts and possible concussions when their plane crashed into a parked tractor-trailer on U S Route 4 northeast of Mt Gilead. They were hospitalized but expected to be released in a few days. The truck belonged to Fishback company of Akron and the driver was dining in a restaurant at the time. The plane and truck were badly damaged. The accident occurred after the men reportedly landed a two-seater near Hoodside restaurant due to poor conditions.
