Man Arrested After Downtown Elyria Gun Incident
Elyria police arrested Akeem Stafford 24 of Lorain after he allegedly fired a gun near Broad Street and Kerstetter Way around 2 09 a m and ran from officers. He was charged with three counts of felonious assault weapon under disability discharging a firearm carrying a concealed weapon receiving stolen property obstructing official business and resisting arrest. Stafford remains in Lorain County Jail with prior guilty pleas in 2003 for aggravated rioting receiving stolen property and resisting arrest.
