East Carlisle School: Growth Challenges in Lorain County
East Carlisle Elementary in Lorain County houses 567 pupils K to 8 with 20 full time teachers under Principal Stanley Dawley. Growth strains include lack of gymnasium and assembly space, prolonged bus waiting times, and the need to improvise classroom use and hall supervision on bad weather days. The school supports a 36 member band directed by Gerald Frank and collaborates with Hamilton school for football.
