Snow falls across Montana to Michigan as cold winds deepen
Snow and plunging temperatures sweep from Montana to Michigan with Canadian cold. East Glacier Montana reports 29 inches in a day, 4 inch per hour increases. Wisconsin northern regions and Upper Michigan see 4 to 9 inches, up to 6 inches in northern Iowa. Weather bulletin notes southwesterly winds 35 to 45 knots diminishing to 15 to 25 knots this afternoon. Winds shift to southwest to south 10 to 20 knots tonight as the sky remains cloudy. Waves peak at 7 to 9 feet then subside to 3 to 5 feet late today and 2 to 3 feet tonight.
