Renuart Captures Scoring Crown for Midview

Renuart, a 180 pound junior, clinches the area scoring title with 114 points after a touchdown against Lorain Catholic. Buckeye’s Tim Schaefer finished second with 110 as New London’s Mark Mullins and Bob Williams moved to third and fourth. Bruce Yeager and Tom Bellamy made big gains, while Otis Jenkins, Tim Bonka and Steve Holovacs fill out the top 10 assisted by noted conference champions Rob Lytle, Bob Campo and Renuart in Lakeland, Inland, Southwestern, and Firelands divisions.

Clearview Tops C T area grid in final poll

Clearview captured first in The Chronicle Telegram final area football poll after a 34 0 win over Columbia. The Clippers led the voting with eight of ten first place ballots and finished six points ahead of Lorain Catholic.
