School Swept By Flames at Homewood Public School
Six alarms drew over twenty fire companies to the Homewood public school in Pittsburgh as flames erupted just before opening. Harry Papas of Camden, 23, is in Allen Hospital Oberlin in serious condition after a shotgun exploded at close range. The blast tore the mesh of his right shoulder as he and companions in a hunting party sat on a running board eating lunch when a gun hammer snagged on the car and discharged.
