Oberlin College Ruddigore benefits from staging flair
Director David Bamberger brings charm with an old fashioned slideshow and lively pacing, but the Gilbert and Sullivan piece itself remains weak in plot and music. Performers like Richard White and Nadine Secunde save the show with strong comedy and singing, while the production shines in pacing and second act spectacle.
