Miss Frommel, director of the music department at an American school in the French concession, suffered serious knife wounds when a discharged Chinese servant attacked her at her residence. The assailant hacked arms and legs as the two fought from the top floor to two flights down. Police search the settlements for the suspect as doctors say Miss Frommel will recover.
