Non-union Elyria workers gain modest pay raises
City Council Finance Committee approved a 1 percent raise effective Dec 18 and a 1.5 percent raise effective June 17, 2012, for non-bargaining staff not covered by unions. About 117 employees, including elected offices, department heads, and supervisors, are affected. Elected officials are not included and plan a 2012 pay freeze. The mayor says the boosts mirror firefighters union increases.
