Olmsted lawmaker faces council hearing tonight
North Olmsted councilman Dwayne Woerpel faces a hearing over conflict of interest charges against another councilman and the safety director’s son who work for a local cable company. The council could punish up to removal for a two-thirds vote. Woerpel calls the hearing a muzzle and a kangaroo court as the public session opens at 8 p.m. The mayor and others defend the actions, while the Ethics Commission notes conflict rules are narrow.
