Deersland Animal Park aims to open in Lorain County
John Wash, creator of a children's animal farm near Elyria, develops Deersland Animal Park at 42069 Oberlin Rd. He plans to open by May next year with deer, raccoons, skunks, pheasants, pigs, sheep, goats, and a 24 inch high miniature black Angus bull. The farm will feature a fishing pond, pony rides, and safe petting pens to educate Lorain County children about animals beyond books. Wash will be assisted by his son and daughter-in-law, with plans to showcase new arrivals as spring arrives.

Airliner crash kills Marshall Upridders
