Online changes threaten Ohio online charter schools
Steve Ramsey of the Ohio Charter Schools Association argues online teaching can reach students across cities like Gal lis, Toledo, Youngstown, and Cincinnati via the Internet. He warns that requiring drivers to visit homes would waste time. He says cutting state aid by family enrollments is unfair and potentially unconstitutional. Opponents, including Democrats and teachers unions, say charters aren’t working amid low test scores and school closures.
