Girl injured by rotted tree improves in hospital

Five year old Emily Mace of Lorain, injured when a rotted 50 foot tree fell in Amherst, is listed in good condition at Rainbow Babies and Children's Hospital. She was playing in a backyard on Rosedale Avenue when the tree fell near 4 p.m. Her babysitter, Paula Sanner, was nearby raking leaves. Emily attends Powers Elementary School in Amherst.
