Russia’s foreign trade halves in first six months of 1932
The Commissariat of Foreign Trade reports 1932 half year totals at 680,433,000 rubles in trade value and 8,252,000 tons, down from 883,636,000 rubles and 9,844,000 tons a year earlier. Exports reach 275,160,000 rubles, imports 405,273,000 rubles, with a 130,113,000 ruble deficit versus 150,023,000 rubles previously. U S trade plunges from 142,652,000 to 19,261,000 rubles. exports to the United States fall from 7,129,000 to 10,214,000 rubles.
