Ford workers approve concessions at Sterling Heights plant
About 2,000 of 3,200 UAW members at Ford Sterling Heights voted yes on work rule concessions aimed at cutting costs and avoiding layoffs. The 3-1 approval follows similar moves at Livonia and other Ford plants, with no changes to pay. If accepted, the deal could aid a major axle project and save 600 to 700 jobs.
