Dragster crash kills ex-Elyria man in Houston
Barry D. Fisher, 23, formerly of Elyria, moved to Houston three months ago and worked as a lab film developer. He was hit by drag racing cars at about 100 mph while crossing a street Sunday morning and died shortly after midnight. Floyd Tarvin, 19, of Houston, charged with involuntary manslaughter after fleeing the scene. Funeral services set for Thursday at Bogner Funeral Home with burial in Resthaven Memory Gardens.

Man held in Falls drug raid
A 21 year old man was to be charged with aggravated trafficking in drugs and related offenses after a weekend raid on Lewis Road in Olmsted Falls. Police found marijuana, cocaine, suspected LSD decals, scales, weapons, and ammunition. The suspect was held in jail pending Berea Municipal Court appearance.
