Doctor Mayo Killed in Railroad Collision in Wisconsin
Dr Joseph G Mayo son of Dr Charles Maro of the Rochester Minnesota Clinic died when his car drove along a railroad right of way and collided head on with a Chicago bound train at Alma Wisconsin. Coroner T F Stohr said Mayo had driven nearly a mile along the roadbed before the impact his car dragged another mile after the train halted. He wore hunting clothes and identification cards were found in his pocket a shotgun was recovered from the car ruins.

The carjacking occurred between the two villages. Ruth’s watch led to the arrest of Nick Nichols of Cleveland.

John Powers 70, an engineer at the Troxel Company, was robbed at 5 39 a m by two men aged 25 to 28 and about 5 8 tall who searched him in the boiler room and took 739 dollars from his pockets. Powers lives at 8 Phillips court. Police searched for the suspects without result.

Fifty Five Rescued From State Hospital Fire
Toledo O Nov 9 fifty five patients were ushered out safely when fire damaged the dormitory of a cottage at Toledo State Hospital. Superintendent Dr O O Fordyce said the fire was caused by a 53 year old Toledo woman patient who attempted death by own action by setting fire to her bed. The fire was put out quickly.
