Woman runs Lorain machine shop builds bonds with risk
Elizabeth Sheehe of Vermilion founded Bond Metal Products in Lorain in 1976 with life savings and a loan. As president she handles most roles, runs a shop serving automotive aircraft and military contracts, and notes high effort, modest profits, and plans to expand in two to seven years amid economic challenges. Her husband Terry is a dentist, and they enjoy tennis skiing photography and sailing in Vermilion.
