An albino saddle frog flown from Oxford Ohio on a Miami University plane arrives in Ann Arbor for zoology lab study. Michigan experts call the saddle a rare pigment mutation and hope the research addresses frog development and potential human birth defect insight.
An early coroner witness, 10, testified about the October 10 kidnapping plan of Laporte by the Rose brothers and others. He said he did not witness the murder at the St. Hubert area home on October 17, and described the assault and ot injuries found on Laporte during the autopsy.

Elyria High School could close tomorrow as the school board weighs proposed strict conduct rules to end three weeks of unrest. Superintendent Dr. George B. Smittle announced the plan and said final decisions and hours would be communicated via local radio.
