Federal court lifts TRO in Elyria plant outsourcing case
The Romec subsidiary of BRM Aerospace Corp faced a temporary restraining order on subcontracting machining at the Elyria plant before the case moved to federal court. Union officials say outsourcing violates the contract and a grievance settlement, affecting about 150 IAMAW Local 1849 members. The plant, a former Lear Siegler operation, makes oil and fuel pumps for general and military aviation.
