Abbe Road to gain 20 mph school zone near Windsor Elementary

The city council adopted a resolution to request ODOT place a 20 mph school zone on Abbe Road at Fairwood Boulevard. Ward 7 Councilman Comcinant Boyard Coleman led the push citing heavy traffic and Windsor Elementary students. A new law allows intersections near schools to qualify after legislative changes following a fatality. The state must review the city's traffic study before posting the zone.
