Statewide vote predicted as tax amendment leads race
Voters statewide went to the polls to decide municipal bonds and a proposed tax limit amendment. Proponents forecast a strong yes for the tax change, which would allow classifications of property for taxation and cap real estate rates while preserving local option to raise rates. Opponents argue the measure fails to establish uniform taxation and would not improve fairness.
