EHS owner sues district over bids in Elyria
Kenneth Bible, owner of Current Source Bible, sues Elyria City Schools over alleged bid violations tied to the 60 million dollar plan for a new high school and a 221000 Power Up for Technology program. The suit claims fraud breach of obligation and bid law violations amid claims of lack of bidding and improper contracts. The case is pending before Common Pleas Judge Mark A Betleski with motions to dismiss.

Avon Man Seriously Injured in Crash On Stoney Ridge Road
Elyria man Nicholas M. Arra, 23, of E Broad St, was seriously injured when his Chevy S 10 pickup left Stoney Ridge Road, struck two trees, and ejected him. He was airlifted to MetroHealth Medical Center after a 12 15 am crash investigated for possible alcohol impairment.

Lorain County Safe Community Coalition and EMH Regional Medical Center team up to distribute booster seats today. Certified child passenger safety technicians will answer questions and assist with seat installations. Families meeting income guidelines with a child 40 to 80 pounds and 10 to 57 inches tall may receive a booster seat. child must be present with a vehicle equipped with lap and shoulder belts. Distribution runs from 5 to 7 pm at the garage, 680 E River St. Elyria.
