AK Steel union eyes wider affiliation at Middletown Works
The Armco Employees Independent Federation opened talks to affiliate with the International Association of Machinists and Aerospace Workers. The move could place AK Steel workers in a multi employer pension plan and 401(k) style savings, aiding negotiations after a three month lockout of about 2,700 workers. President Brian Daley said joining the plan is desired but requires affiliation.

GM names Troy Clarke North America president
