Man Rescued From Drifting Boat North of Lorain Harbor

Coast Guardsmen rescued a man from a drifting boat seven miles north of Lorain Harbor after he spent more than 12 hours on Lake Erie. An airborne spotting from a United Air Lines plane bound for Detroit prompted the rescue, with a Coast Guard craft reaching the scene as the plane hovered overhead.

Fifteen Die In Ohio Holiday Traffic Accidents

Fifteen people die in Ohio holiday traffic incidents raising state toll and placing Ohio among leading fatalities. Gasoline tax funds allocated to counties townships and cities
