Diary of Roy McCardell in a 1932 New York spree
A fragmentary diary piece recalls a 1932 New York day touring Broadway's landmarks, Ritz and Lindy's, with celebrity sightings, theatre chatter, and nightlife at Koster and Bial's, Shanley's, and the Eden Musee. It maps the era's social whirl through names like Soubrette News-girls Sacha and Winnie Horn, Eddie Leonard, and Dexter Fellowes, ending with a seance tease and copyright note.
