Wellington teen shot and left for dead by neighbor

16 year old Michael Teehan was shot in the side and crawled 500 yards to safety at the Lorain County Fairgrounds Wellington. A 20 year old neighbor Dennis Yacyszyn was arrested on attempted aggravated murder charges after Teehan identified him.

Crystal Gayle to headline Lorain County Fair shows

The Lorain County Fair Board approved an August 23 appearance by Crystal Gayle with two one hour shows at 25 000 dollars and expanded electrical and stage facilities. A rider sought premium seating air conditioned dressing rooms meals on china and other items seen as excessive. The 125th fair will run with Tom T Hall on August 22 and a week of festivities including nightly fireworks and clowns.
