Lorain contractors will survey about 120 miles of the city’s water distribution system for leaks using acoustical equipment and off road vehicles. Leak detection starts Tuesday night, targets 940 hydrants, and aims to minimize traffic impact with work set 10 PM to 7 AM. Estimated cost is 11 500 with completion possible in two weeks.
