The Ohioans for Medical Marijuana ended its signature drive for the November ballot with a heavy heart after lawmakers passed a medical marijuana bill. The measure would ban smoking and home growing, allow vapor use for certain conditions, and still requires Gov Kasich’s signature. The group called the bill a step forward though not ideal.

One dead one hurt in Route 10 motorcycle crash
An Elyria woman died Saturday after her motorcycle overturned on Route 10 near Route 83 following a rear tire blowout. The male rider, Rusty Schill, was airlifted in serious but stable condition. Both riders reportedly were not wearing helmets. The crash occurred at 2 04 p m and no other vehicle was involved.

Two 911 calls came in around 4 p.m. Saturday reporting gunshots near the Bridgeway Trail in Black River Reservation. Lorain County Metro Parks and Burr Oak Days Dam rangers joined police in investigating the area.
