Film technician predicts color movies by telephone
Roy J. Pomeroy of Paramount envisions future motion pictures broadcast by wire to multiple theatres with synchronized musical scores. The system uses a luminous energized screen and advances in color and stereo projection, potentially replacing film stock with a disc-like recording and requiring skilled engineers at central stations. Home reception is unlikely due to cost and complexity.
