Wellington 600 Pupils Take Part In Centennial Program

About 600 children attended Wellington school auditorium for a centennial program led by Aloys BeVier. Judy Hoff crowned May queen. students from first through seventh grades performed folk dances, bands, plays, and a May pole dance.

Milwaukee police seek ban on fans bringing beer to Braves games

Milwaukee police asked for a ruling to bar fans from carrying beer into the stadium during Braves games. Inspector Hubert E. Dax said discarded beer cans have become a safety hazard as some fans bring as much as a case or two of beer.

Springer Home Meeting Holds Bible Study

Mrs Russell Springer hosted the Methodist Bible Study and Prayer group at her South Amherst home on Tuesday afternoon.
