Hunt Driver Who Left Scene Of Accident
A driver fled the scene of a Route 611 crash west of State Highway 58 at 8 45 p m Sunday. Frank Covach 58 of Lakewood reported his station wagon was rear ended by John M Soto of Lorain whose car was identified by its license. Soto denied knowing the driver. Covach said he was stopped at the intersection when struck and the suspect left immediately with only minor damage.

Charles Hancock longtime Elyria clothier dies
Charles E. Hancock of 133 Lake Avenue died yesterday morning after a brief illness. A 62 year Elyria resident, he partnered in the Robinson Hancock clothier business and later worked with the City Park Commission. He served as director of First Savings and Loan, was a member of the Church of the Oven Door and King Solomon Lodge, and formerly in the Elyria Rotary Club. He leaves a widow Mary C. Hancock and three children, with five grandchildren. Funeral services are set for Tuesday at 2 p.m. at the Harold Dicken Funeral Home, with burial in Ridgelawn Cemetery.
