States sue over federal transgender bathroom guidance
Texas and ten states file a federal suit in North Texas arguing the Obama administration oversteps its authority by directing public schools to allow transgender students to use bathrooms and locker rooms matching their gender identity. The complaint names Oklahoma Alabama Wisconsin West Virginia Tennessee Maine Arizona Louisiana Utah Georgia and includes Harrold and a small Arizona district. The suit seeks to declare the directive unlawful and halt enforcement nationwide.
