Man Surrenders in Slaying of Wife in Ohio

North Ridgeville authorities say Lawrence Markowski, 5740 Paula Blvd., surrendered Friday night to the Lorain County Sheriff after a statewide manhunt for the murder of his wife Twila, 28. He was held in Lorain County jail and scheduled for arraignment Tuesday in Elyria Municipal Court. Witnesses described a dragged, three-shot killing at the City Bank branch on Jaycox Road.

Record 24 hour rainfall hits Lorain County

Lorain County recorded the heaviest 24 hour rainfall in 30 years with 1.5 inches on Friday and 3.12 inches since Thursday noon.
