Windfall funds eyed for Two Falls Trail rebuild
City officials mull using $500,000 state funds for the East Falls to West Falls project but ADA criteria may force a shift to another plan. If redirected, funds would support downtown needs. If approved, an observation deck atop the old power plant remains near East Falls would widen access to natural spaces.

Falls Park preserves history and wildlife view at Camel's Back
Grace says $500000 funding will be available July 2004 and may be used downtown if not for the trail. Visitors have arrived recently to enjoy blue herons, bald eagles, and 30 inch trout, with improving water quality. Remains of old bear cages and carved steps recall simpler times as Camel's Back offers a wide city panorama. Contact Christina Jollife at 329-7129 or cjollife@chronicletelegram.cort.
