Senior Distinction Day Noted At Riviria High School

Riviria High School students observed Senior Distinction Day in the Senior Chapel marking the last day of the 1932 30 school year. 52 awards were handed to graduating seniors including athletes debaters and cheerleaders with two top Youth Was Club trophies awarded to a boy and a girl. Honors included second and third prizes and honorable mentions, with many track debating and athletic awards announced.

Calvi n Coolidge named as favored Morgan buyers

Washington May 25 The late Calvin Coolidge was revealed as a favored purchaser of J P Morgan and Co securities on a public list of prominent persons given quick turnover opportunities. The inquiry disclosed four more issues and named buyers including Alleghany United Standard Brands General Motors and Johns Manville with figures well below market.

Annual Elyria Summer School Opens Monday June 5

The Elyria summer school will run from June 5 to July 11 with morning sessions from 8:30 am to 12. Teachers will be drawn from the local system for upper, intermediate and primary grades. Fees are four dollars for elementary entry with two subjects included and two dollars per additional subject. A partial refund is offered for withdrawals in the first three weeks.

Final Plans for Memorial Day Parade Announced

The Lorain committee completed plans for the Memorial Day parade, setting a 2 PM start after a time change.
