Paris dispatch reports the flame throwing tank as Germanys newest mobile weapon. A fast light cab like engine, it advances to front lines and hurls fire into houses and fortifications while carrying two machine guns and a 37 millimeter cannon.
Berlin dispatch says German forces claim to have reached Boulogne near Calais with no confirmation of entering Boulogne. Street fighting reported near Ghent Belgium as Belgian forts Mauuage and Tournai fall to Germans. six British transports sunk in the English Channel.

Washington May 24 Reports of imminent changes in War and Navy posts circulated as Congress nears final action on a 3.3 billion defense package. Senate approval of Army and Navy appropriations prompts hopes leaders will send the measures to the White House early next week.
